First Year 16 Hours for Administrators and Alternates

This course is designed:

1. For First time Administrator or Alternate Administrator
2. To meet training requirements of 40 TAC 92.259(d)
3. To be taken within 12 months prior to appointment
4. As part of the initial 24 hour requirement in TAC 97.259(b)

Step 3: Answer review questions carefully.

Course Description
This course will cover the following topics

1. Information regarding fraud and abuse detection and prevention
2. Legal issues regarding advance directives
3. Client rights, including the right to confidentiality
4. Agency responsibilities
5. Emergency preparedness planning and implementation
6. Abuse, neglect and exploitation
7. Infection Control
8. The Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS)( for agencies licensed to provide licensed and certified home health services)
